Sir Randol Fawkes Essay Competition at Judith P. Thompson Primary School

On Thursday, March 19, 2026, seven students from Judith P. Thompson Primary School took part in an in-class short essay competition hosted by the YWCA of The Bahamas. They were tasked with writing a 100-word essay in 30 minutes on Sir Randol Fawkes.  Rosalie Fawkes from the YWCA reviewed and scored the essays and prizes will be awarded to the top two students, Michael Hart and Theo Glinton at the end of the school year.  Special thanks go to teacher Mrs. Daniela Roker for organizing the students’ participation in this developmental activity. To close the event, Minister Linda Thompson encouraged the students to engage more in academic activities like this and offered a prayer for them.
